On April 24th, 2025, Artevistas Gallery in barcelona presents “Breathe on the Way” the new exhibition by visual artist Tuike Souza. Through a visual language based on line, color, and the textures of the landscape, Tuike invites us to explore the urban environment as a visual rhapsody, where past and present, history and emotion, intertwine in the same space.
Based in Barcelona and with exhibitions in cities such as London and São Paulo, Tuike has developed an artistic practice that examines the relationship between the individual and their surroundings. His linear strokes create connections within the composition, while his chromatic palette reflects an emotional geography—where colors evoke memories and experiences that merge in urban coexistence.
“I work with the idea of how the environment interferes with the personality of the individual, and I see myself as the sum of these interferences,” explains Tuike. In Breathe on the Way, this visual exploration intertwines with Reciprocity – Reflection of the Other, another of her lines of research, where the interaction of stories and personal references is translated into a visual and chromatic dialogue.
Thus, Breathe on the Way stands as a call for contemplation amidst urban chaos—an invitation to discover the beauty in human interaction, the textures of the landscape, and the colors that compose the visual symphony of our daily existence.
El próximo 24 de abril de 2025, la galería Artevistas Gallery en Barcelona presenta “Breathe on the Way”, la nueva exposición del artista visual Tuike Souza. A través de un lenguaje plástico basado en la línea, el color y las texturas del paisaje. Tuike nos invita a explorar el paisaje urbano como una rapsodia visual, donde pasado y presente, historia y emoción, se entrelazan en un mismo espacio.
Residente en Barcelona y con exposiciones en ciudades como Londres y São Paulo, Tuike ha desarrollado una práctica artística que analiza la relación entre el individuo y su entorno. Su trazo lineal crea conexiones dentro de la composición, mientras que su paleta cromática refleja una geografía emocional, donde los colores evocan recuerdos y experiencias que se fusionan en la convivencia urbana.
“Trabajo con la idea de interferencia del entorno en la personalidad del individuo y me veo como una suma de estas interferencias”, explica Tuike. En Breathe on the Way, esta exploración visual se entrelaza con Reciprocidad – Reflejo del otro, otra de sus líneas de investigación, donde la interacción de historias y referencias personales se traduce en un diálogo óptico y cromático.
Así, Breathe on the Way se erige como un llamado a la contemplación en medio del caos urbano, una invitación a descubrir la belleza en la interacción de las personas, las texturas del paisaje y los colores que componen la sinfonía visual de nuestra existencia diaria.
