Sater

Sater is a graffiti artist from Barcelona who began his practice in 2002. From a young age, he attended artistic drawing classes, where he explored various disciplines such as charcoal, watercolor, oil painting, and sculpture. Later, he took courses in 3D design and Photoshop, eventually directing his focus toward street art, which evolved into large-scale mural painting using aerosol techniques—something he has been practicing since 2002.

His influences are primarily drawn from graffiti, including American, French, and Spanish styles, as well as classical illustration and tattoo art.

Today, Sater paints classic graffiti on any surface he finds—highway walls, roads, streams, large walls—and, most notably, abandoned sites and vehicles. He combines his lettering with elements like pipes, mounds of scrap metal, and anything worn by time. He enjoys complementing his pieces with rust, moisture, cracks, and other elements of the landscape to create urban, underground compositions.
