In every work there is a part of me that disappears to make room for new emotions. Painting is a constant cleaning of the self. My working method begins with the accumulation of ideas, images, experiences and feelings. Everything is mixed, eliminated, added and transformed until the first stroke on the canvas. It’s the moment of maximum pleasure! The moment when the brush, dipped in paint, caresses the canvas. A connection begins that is difficult for me to explain. That’s why I paint, it’s the best way I know to communicate. “After the Storm” is the name of a series of paintings that have been made over the past year, during which there have been storms and days of light. I keep painting and rolling, sometimes with a very clear direction, with a rudder, sometimes with my eyes closed and my hands tied, with enthusiasm and perseverance. There will always be storms and lights.
En cada obra hay una parte de mí que se va, para dejar lugar a nuevas emociones. Pintar es una limpieza constante del ser. Mi método de trabajo empieza por acumular ideas, imágenes, vivencias y sentimientos. Se mezcla, se elimina, se añade y se transforma todo hasta dar el primer trazo en el lienzo. ¡Es el momento de disfrute máximo! Ese instante en el que el pincel, mojado en pintura, acaricia la tela. Empieza una conexión difícil de explicar para mí. Por eso pinto, es el mejor método con el que sé comunicarme. “Después de la tormenta” da nombre a una serie de cuadros realizados durante este último año, en el que ha habido tormentas y días de luz. Sigo pintando y rodando, a veces con un rumbo muy claro, con timón, otras con los ojos cerrados y las manos atadas, con ilusión y constancia. Siempre habrá tormentas y luces.
