Carmela Alvarado – “MIEDO: ARDE!!!”

Creating this work I have lived with the fear that I carry inside, that so often stalks me and chews me up.

I listen to it, I squeeze it, I destroy it, and I watch it burn in noisy color that bursts at full volume.

Between sudden strokes and pieces of emotions, I let my truth come out and show itself.

In this hectic and incomprehensible time I have found a new way to express myself. Without the restriction of beauty, without limiting myself. Screaming furiously.

The fear is always here. It needs to be burned.

“MIEDO: ¡¡¡QUEMA!!!”

Al crear esta obra he vivido con el miedo que llevo dentro, que tantas veces me acecha y me devora.
Lo escucho, lo aprieto, lo destruyo y lo veo arder en un color ruidoso que estalla a todo volumen.
Entre golpes repentinos y pedazos de emociones, dejo que mi verdad salga y se muestre.
En este tiempo agitado e incomprensible he encontrado una nueva forma de expresarme. Sin la restricción de la belleza, sin limitarme. Gritando furiosamente.
El miedo siempre está aquí. Hay que quemarlo.
